hmmm

Ive never heard this theme before but you know what your doing here... The Piano is one of the best Ive heard.. Its such a beautiful sound.. your drums are amazing as well.. You have the bass volume so it doesnt over power the rest of the instruments.. very very good job with this one...Granted Slayer sucks but it still didnt ruin this song.. because you know how level your sounds and it fit but yeah a better vst would help.. honestly when the chords came in on guitar.. slayer did a really good job with that.. but as far as lead lines.. slayer is a no lol

Id like to know where you get some of your drum kits though.. and that piano.. I want that lol

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Drums were from FPC in FL Studio 8... Piano is from Miroslav Philharmonik... An orchestral plug in. Very nice program.

But yeah, I tried my best to make sure the shitty guitar sounds didn't overpower the rest to drag it down... Took A LOT of tweaking to get it tolerable.

And on another note, I'm planning to replace all the Slayer guitars in this with a real guitar soon enough, so it should sound a tad better... I might also add in the ending while I'm at it...

Thanks for the review!

awesome

the little drop off part at 1:14 would sound alot better if u held out a piano note and faded it away and then just came in BOOM with the guitar.. right now it doesnt sound natural with the song.. it kinda sounds like a mistake actually.. but Its a nice sound you have going on here

OPQC responds:

well.. thanks! yep. i have an another version of this song. i might add it to ng... but i think it's not worth it...
it doesn't have so many remixes.

loops

This is repetitive and I understand u made it will loops.. for i wont really judge that.. thats my personal opinion.. other than everything mixed well cept the drums.. the drums sounded too high in volumne actually and it took away from the beautiful sound of the piano.. also if u can I would try to add not buildups but little "filler" pieces in between transition on your loops cause it makes the song sound choppy if u dont which also again removes from the beautifulness.. the key to writing a good sad or happy beautiful tune that gives u chills is to use long and smooth connections between your notes.. also dynamical contrast is a must.. if one instrument is over heard then it can ruin the whole thing..

but all in its decent for like i said just loops put together and mixed.. lets hear some original composition from ya? keep me informed if u post anything like that up

Nujtxeeg responds:

i agree with you... there is a lot of repitition in that song... lol. if you're talking about "original" as in not being a cover or a mix of anything, that's going to be awhile until i post anything like that because I don't have the necessarry tools for that yet... I did however post a very nice mix of a song up... you should give me some feed back on what you think of those songs.

dope

Im diggin it.. although I believe your percusion is a tad bit loud for this tune.. like pinke said below me you have that dark feel to the song but the percussion is so loud it seems like its trying to bring in the lighter side of the song and dont bring in the light lol.. over all its nice.. and the little bass swell is groovy also.. the bass is almost to that point where it starts to get nasty... I would hate to look at the wavefile on that bass swell lo9l.. but over all its a great song.. keep on keepin on

8/10,,5/5

damn dude

wow I must say.. Im in love with this tune.. please finish it.. its got that bullet for my vallentine feel to it.. with the whole guitar panning to one speaker and then coming back to stereo.. I love that shit.... when you finish this.. let me know...

P.S. what setup are you using to get your guitar so damn clear?? I dont know of any effects processors that have that tone

350teric responds:

Thanks Man, GLAD you like it!!
As for the tone, I'm using Ibanez SAS36FM, VOX valvetronix amp with preamp and Behringer xenyx 802 mixer, all of that mixed togather with proper settings for the pick up's and effects (rverbs mostly)!
And I will definitly let you know, when the song is finished!

sounds good

its sounds good man but It feels like u use Z3ta in this tune.. I love the fade in with your lead line.. very nice and subtle.. also appreciate the how u add in your instruments but you dont go over kill with them.. Like i say the best songs are ones used with less instruments.. one thing I dont like however is your snare buildup.. u buildup and instantly cutoff.. BUT since u came right back in with the loudness it fit the song..great job with laying down the tracks and using the volume to not overpower one another.. the bass is there and u can feel it but thats not all u feel.. the only I could suggest to make it better is to use some panning on it.. like a 360degree Stereo Field Rotate or something.. or if u have heard of X-Y Elephanting,, its pretty much the same deal.. great song.. great effort.. u were goin for the club feel and I feel like its a little slack for club.. ONLY because club tunes are all about there KICK drums and yours happenes to be more subtle and you have an actual melody and addins which builds an actual song.. but hey its good either way man.. keep it up 5/9

DJ-X-POSED responds:

I didn't use z3ta+, I used a combination of 3xOsc & Absynth 4 for the lead. The pad was a free soundfont from VIP Zone. I turned the release up on it so it sounds better.

Panning could've helped, yeah, but I got lazy, lol.

Thanks for the critisism. :D

its good

heres some constructive critisicm though.. lower the volumne on your snare.. I understand snare is the most important thing to hear in a drum set but right your snare is way overpowered.. All i hear is melody and then snare every other beat.. lower that and it should be fine... also I would take out the claps in the beginning of the song since u dont use them through the rest of the song.. I kinda feel like u wanted to use all ur drum effects in one song and a song actually sounds worse if u try to use all of your effects and try to use all of your techniques in one song.. but on the bright side.. the melody is quick but its Idk how to describe it.. its not happy or dark.. its like inbetween.. like the dark side branching out into the light side.. so good job with that one.. but yeah man I love the outro when it slows down and shit thats good right there.. but yeah u got some talent.. keep it up

mjattie responds:

tx for the review! XD, well, using all the drum effects was not on purpose :P and you're right about the snare, I'll thing about it in my next song. Ty again for the review.

this really isnt a loop

loops arent supposed to be this short. all u did was take a riff and add in a vibe sound. and this doesnt sound good played over and over. Try again bro

ConradB responds:

I'm sorry sir next time I'll be sure to remix a sonic song just 4 u ^__^

its awesome

I Love the chord at 1:03 and dont worry about the long ass intro. You do change chord sequences and add in different instruments so it isnt like your looping over one 16measure riff or something. As far as the guitars go. its good but u need to tweak your eq alot. 1. its too muddy sounding. try turning down ur lows and boosting your mids. 2. when changing chord positions I cant hear the little eight note lead line too well.you should seriously think about incorporating a solo in this peice because it is good. I added it as one of my favs and I dont do that often, so keep it up man

TheRealSam responds:

Alright man, I'll do it! Now I've got Magnus Choirs, GPO, EZDrummer, Broomstick Bass and some other stuff so I can do something much better!
And I know how to deal with the EQ to make a good guitar sound! :)
So I'll probably upload a new version of this song soon! :)

dude

dont get me wrong when i say this but you have a shit load of talent. you make really good songs but every song I listen to from you has the same lead tone. Try using different instruments. One thing I personally and other people dont like is to hear the same thing in a different song from an artist. use different instruments and sounds to make more creative stuff. I can tell you have the potential to make great songs but try out some new lead instruments

Hyperion666 responds:

yeh i know wut u mean ive been thinking that lately really i have made like 20+ tracks its just the recent 1s that have the same instuments really. i just need more sounds if i havem i can do more these r the 1s that are my faves atm so i usem in different variations till i get more sounds haha thnx again for reviewing my stuff hopefully my next songs im tryna draw away from those but ive been in a block so its kinda hard check back tomarw n ull c wut i mean when i saw its the recent 1s having the same sounds haha thnx again for reviewing my stuff

I like to dabble in metal, rock, techno, & rap.
